When in Plato, from the left-hand navigation, click on your name. On the top left of the next page, there is an area for Basic Information. Hover over your name in that box, then click on the pencil icon. The next page will allow you to change your name. You can also set your preferred pronouns in this area.

Then, in addition, you need to set the ‘additional name’ field to be the only name displayed in Plato. This should make it stick.
